✿ サレタガワのブルー ✿I started watching this drama because of Miona Hori and I'm glad I did. This drama is about a couple Noburu and Aiko. Noburu is a handsome designer who draws a high salary and has a good marriage with Aiko. Though Aiko has a secret relationship with her boss at her company and she keeps an affair from Noburu. Noburu finds out and he follows her, takes all evidence and goes crazy. He wants to take a divorce but still has feelings for her. Aiko is a witch and she has double personality, in front of Noburu she is an angel and when she meets the affair she acts like a devil. This drama was worth watching, I wish it had more episodes :
my beloved time... wasted.FULL REVIEW, SOME SPOILERS
i have never been as disappointed in a drama as i was with this one. it started off well, with beautiful cinematography and osts, with a fun plot and good actors, but thats where it all ends. after the first few episodes it all felt monotonous and repetitive. i expected fun bickering, lovey dovey moments, thought out characters, an unexpected twist with the documentary, DEPTH. the initial trailers seemed fun, fresh, nuanced and promised all of this, which the first few episodes somewhat delivered. afterwards, everything was a dull filler. let me explain.
my biggest issue was this: despite all the love professions and cute moments, i didnt care for the couple very much. after showing us how yeonsu constantly broke up with him whenever she wanted, the immature miscommunications, the imbalances in the relationship, i just didnt want to see them together. your first love is not often the person you stay with forever, and thats okay. this wouldve been a great healing drama, where the leads heal individually and learn to love themselves without the other. instead i felt the opposite, like they were codependent: ung could only sleep with yeonsu by his side, yeonsu felt empty without him.
therefore I think the drama should’ve gone in a different direction- a story of forgiveness, growing up and growing apart, getting closure. i wanted them to meet again, learn more about each other now that they were broken up, heal separately and stay separated. that would sent a better message, and it also wouldve worked better given the set up. if they were to end up together, there shouldve been a different backstory. all we saw initially was them bickering, which was cute in highschool, but we never really saw them grow to like each other. more specifically WHY they liked each other. they were complete opposites and the drama never went deeper with their relationship past superficial conversations and longing gazes. this lack of depth made it hard to imagine how this was a love strong enough to last YEARS. they had so many problems, i mean, yeonsu’s “if i leave you just come back to me” what? how is this in any way cute or goals? speaking of, i felt that the characters werent created equally. yeonsu was given so many flaws while ung… wasnt (especially in the beginning) and it made yeonsu look like the bad guy. i wish he had been more stubborn, or complacent in the misunderstandings so i wouldnt have to “pick a side”. especially when ung was defending yeonsu to us, saying he saw a different side of her: her ripping notes just to give it to ung, her refusing to see the flowers then bringing ung petals, etc. this whole “mean to everyone but me” trope is outdated. if the ending had to be them together, then the backstory should’ve been more “right person wrong time” and less “pointless couple break up for dramatic effect”. and yes, they matured in the present day relationship, and there were cute moments. but yeonsu and ung were kinda boring , both in and out of the relationship. i didnt ever feel that they had that strong of a connection, and i never even got why they kept breaking up and getting back together in the first place. overall their relationship just didn’t work for me.
everything outside of their relationship was also undercooked. yeonsu went to work every few episodes (to not do work), ung barely drew. and these were their main traits. rather than being fully developed it felt like they got a traumatic little backstory which led to them having ONE issue: yeonsus pride and ungs attachment. what happened to the first few episodes, to the driven yeonsu? why didnt they explore more of how she burnt herself out from working too hard? or what jobs she had before landing the one we barely see her go to now? why not delve more into ungs wishes to live a peaceful relaxed life? how he even got famous considering it’s the complete opposite of his life goals? these questions are all unanswered because all the drama cares about depicting was their relationship. lack of depth affected the other characters as well, with them being mere stepping stones for the main relationship. producer ji for example, giving him mommy issues and a never ending crush doesnt make up for the lack of personality. and am i supposed to believe he hung onto his crush with the girl he barely talked to… for YEARS? why not go more in depth to his relationship with ung and ungs parents instead, or even his won parents? in the present day he didnt seem like a very good friend, so depth is much needed. his documentary thing wasnt developed at all, even though the documentary aspect was initially what made this drama so unique. it felt like filler instead of its own character, and didnt connect with jiungs arc at all. yeonsus best friend- aka the only character with some pizazz- was not on screen nearly enough. all we know about her is that she had a lot of boyfriends and has a strict family. ungs manager just fangirls over nj, i found him unbearable. couldnt he have been given ONE personality trait? nj pops in and out when we need some drama when she couldve been such a GREAT character. we had her tiny subplot with online bullies, and that was it. why not showcase the pressures of being an idol, or maybe even ONE scene of her singing or dancing or modeling or acting or SOMETHING?? mr jang, who i assumed would be the SML, never showed up after the first few episodes after he said he liked yeonsu?? what even was that ?? yeonsus coworkers are only there to gossip about her love life and their boss- i dont even know why hes there. i just wish the other characters were more delved into, like in hometown cha cha cha. its been proven that this CAN be done and still leave enough time for the main couple. and they certainly couldve spared some screen time. i know this is a romance drama, but there is such a thing as too much romance.
this drama felt undercooked. it could’ve been fantastic, really. highschool romances, bickering couples, cold leads, this has all been done well before. look at fight for my way, hometown cha cha cha, its okay thats love, etc etc etc. this drama shouldve taken notes from those that did it well. instead, they created a perfectly average drama that relied on cute moments and filler to make up for poor writing and direction. no slice of life, just romance. a poorly written, average romance. what a waste!
An Emotion Trigger!!!!!!!!!Okay, I don't usually leave reviews, especially when a drama is still ongoing, but I just couldn't help it. This drama is like a piece gotten out from my personal life at a point. Just goes to show what a relationship really entails. The struggles, thoughts, weird moments, breakups and makeups. The drama brought out a side of realistic relationships that really should be seen. Love requires EFFORT.
The characters did a perfect job ,they all played their part, provoking emotions. Y'all just 12 episodes of this drama, I've cried, laughed, sighed, felt all kinds of emotions, cos I could personally relate to most situations in the drama, especially the relationship between the leads.
I loved every piece of this drama and if you're seeing this review, you should definitely try it out, it's totally worth your time.
You might not understand the message from the onset, but eventually you'll find this drama relatable.
The leads were perfect and fitted for their roles.
The OST is on another level of perfection, each ost suits each scene/episode
I can't think of any........
Once it's completed I'll surely watch it over and over again.
A complete blend of genre with crisp endingLawless lawyer is worth watching. This drama will exceed your expectation regarding law and crime genre. The plot does give justice to the viewers as it ends on a decent note with no rush at all. The 16 episodes will certainly satisfy you. The drama begins with a boom, you will see Bong Song Pil doing all the craziness to achieve what he wants. He will fight against he corrupt officials with the help of law and fist. Ha Jae Yi helps Song Pil as they share same past and lost loved ones due to one person only.
The ending is satisfactory and the drama has some twists also. In the genre of crime and law, this drama is a sweet dish for you. As it is simple, continuous plot, no dragging of past, proper character development, no unnecessary cliché of corrupt prosecutors, and a clean cut acting by the leads.
I feel the best villain role has done by Choi Min Soo (damn his accent is mesmerizing).
Supporting characters are played well. The drama does carry some romance but it doesn't hinders with the revenge. You will complete this drama with no headache at all.
I guess you will feel recharged after watching this.
OST is also good, had only 4 songs. Opening song is worth listening. The bgm with the drum beats make this special gangster vibe.
Go ahead it's worth the time.
It's a cute show with enough substance to remain interesting till the last episode. The Good:
-All three couples were interesting.
-Everyone had good chemistry with everyone.
-The lack of dental procedures (I hate seeing that on screen & I have delayed watching this solely for that reason)
-The near complete lack of conflict
-The fluff (though there could have been more of it)
-I liked how the characters joked about ML having mild prosopagnosia.
-There were quite a few epic scenes. (Cats that catch mice don't meow, haha)
-Second lead noona romance was totally awesome, wow.
-Fairly unoffensive product placements
-The love triangle may have been resolved beautifully, but it was still arbitrarily conjured out of thin air & they wasted 2 full episodes on it.
-FL's annoying mom (as annoying as she was, luckily she had very little screen time)
-The pacing has not been adjusted for a 22 episode series. (Episode 17 felt like an episode from a 40 episode long drama)
-There were so many missed opportunities, I wish this was at least 5 episodes longer, see previous point.
-The ending is really rushed, then again I'm just repeating myself now.
Two Words:Phenomenal Acting.
I'm here to talk about the acting. It is by far the best I've ever seen. Everything flows together and they talk like normal human beings. It is really natural. In other dramas I've watched, actors either say stuff on the script with emotion or like a statue. However, this drama literally feels like a real interaction. They are sensible and act exactly what a normal person like you or me would act like. Great acting and dialogue.
As for the plot, it's kinda like a slice of life and it really isn't heavy at all. It's a fun watch for relaxing or if you just wanna watch something short and simple. Pretty interesting and I love the chemistry between the cast. All their interactions are very natural.

They lived in the same apartment complex. One day, Maho was about to be attacked by someone holding a knife, the story becomes very dark but it's really good, I got so addicted to this drama. Young Yuri is sooo cute and great actress ♥ ♥ ♥
❤ Girl from Nowhere ❤This is my first Thai drama and I loved it, this drama is about this mysterious and smart girl called Nanno. She keeps transferring schools, she exposes other people's bad behaviour and each episode portrays humanity. Each episode was different story which made it more interesting to see differect actors, This drama takes the role of "bullied girl fights back with a vengeance" to a deliciously new level.Nanno has a very strong personality and in some episodes it's kinda weird the way she acts but I think her acting skills are amazing ❤

The Special Edition is the superior Edition!I already loved the first season a lot and the second season is just as amazing.
Special Edition means here some scenes are longer or added on, I personally feel like all the scenes make the experience of the drama way nicer and more emotional.
Shu Yi isn't that different from the first season, he is older now but that's mostly it. The work he had put into the swimming team he now puts into work, his illness is also brought back which is nice. A nice change is the fact that he stands up for himself more but in a healthier way then in season one (minus the "plan" ^^ but that's another discussion).
I love that they did with him in episode three. Him questioning Shi De's choice. The story could have gone so stereotypical and toxic but the writers did the right thing. I wished more dramas did that.
Shi De is the same too, also older but that's mostly it. He is being a bit more explored character wise and his guilt and insecurities are big themes. It gets stereotypical ('typical bl wise') at some points but not overly.
I like the storyline of the ShuDe. Definitely not perfect! But still good. The storybeats are strong and they use the screentime wisely, nothing drags on for too and everything fit together very well.
The emotional scenes are fantastic, the actors are doing such an amazing job at portraying the emotions and the chemistry. Also the soft scenes later, it all feels natural.
Zhe Yu and Bing Wei don't get explored much. Their scenes are nice enough, could have needed some more personal moments when it's just the two of them. It's mostly the same dialogue as in s1 which feels off. They're older and have been 'together' in a way for a while now. I would have liked it way more if they were the healthy developed example who help Shu Yi and Shi De.
The thing at the end seems a bit rash and way out of pocket. Just weird.
THE BEST PART ARE THE ALWAYS MATCHING OUTFITS! AMAZING!
Zhen Xuan and Shou Yi get fully explored too. Their story is a little bit confusing, mostly because Shou Yi "illness" is... Really weird. Affective disorders just means it's a disorder that has 'mood' in the centre (like depression, anxiety etc.) it's not a disorder in itself so it doesn't make any sense. Personally I would have liked it more if they went and explored that Shou Yi possibly has Asperger as well. It would make sense giving his non existent emotional abilities and the fact that he has learned what most people do in most situations and how they react but it never comes natural to him.
It would also been way better if they had actually casted someone who has Aspergers. Sure Chih Tian does play the character VERY well but nothing ever comes to close to giving an actual person with Aspergers a chance to shine.
Camerawork was really good. The angles were definitely thought through and there was a lot of intentional experimental stuff (ep 2) which was real noice!
Colours were also great, a bit cold which fits the atmosphere of most scenes nicely.
STORYLINE (I'll try not to spoil):
The connection to the first season is... weird. I had to watch some scenes multiple times to understand in which timeline we're in. And still got confused. Shi De's trip to America was... In general pretty confusing. Especially because phones and planes for visits exists. It's forced let's say that.
Other than that the storybeats lead nicely into each other and get explored well. It's a bit too much "typical non straight story" at times, but never goes too far.
In general it's a drama which uses it's relative short run time well. Some storybeats are unnecessary or a bit too stereotypical but it develops healthy and explores the main characters well. Would definitely recommend it .
Thank you for reading kind stranger, I hope you enjoyed my review :)

★ Shinya no Damekoi zukan ★This drama is about 3 girl best friends, Madoka koga is still a virgin and is looking for her prince. Chiyo Fukuma, a woman who treats shoujo manga as bibles for romance; and Sawako Chidori, a woman who can't help but always fall for poor excuses for men. Every night the girls get together and talk about their love stories, and how their sex is.
Madoka chan is really cute, I have seen her in other dramas too and her acting is amazing.
