So Ji Sub in talks to make his small screen comeback through the legal drama "Dr. Lawyer"
According to several reports on May 26th, So Ji Sub will be the main lead for the upcoming MBC drama "Dr. Lawyer." The upcoming legal drama will be written by the same scriptwriter of "Class of Lies," Jang Hong Chul.
So Ji Sub's agency 51K shared their side and revealed that the actor is currently reviewing the drama offer.
"Dr. Lawyer" is said to be a heartwarming and exhilarating drama in which a genius surgeon who lost everything in a fabricated operation will eventually become a medical litigation lawyer.
So Ji Sub received the offer to act as Han Lee Han, a lawyer specializing in medical litigation and was a double-board genius surgeon.
If So Ji Sub accepts the offer this will be his small screen comeback since his 2018 series "Terius Behind Me." This will also be the actor's first drama project since his marriage to former TV presenter Jo Eun Jung.
So Ji Sub became known after starring in hit projects "What Happened in Bali," "I'm Sorry, I Love You," "The Master's Sun," "Rough Cut," "The Battleship Island," and many more. He last starred in the 2018 MBC drama "Terius Behind Me" with Jung In Sun, and Son Ho Jun wherein he played as a legendary black ops agent for the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
Aside from "Dr. Lawyer," So Ji Sub also received an offer to star in the upcoming Netflix original series "Exemplary Family" together with actor Jung Woo. He will also reportedly join the upcoming movies "Alien + People" with Ryu Joon Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, and Kim Woo Bin, and "Confession" with Kim Yoon Jin and After School's Nana.
"Dr. Lawyer" is expected to air next year on MBC.
