Netflix generously unveils this year's lineup of original Korean content through a live event titled, "See What's Next Korea 2021."  The said event was held online, raising viewers expectations as they announced a total of 14 Korean series that are scheduled to be released within this year.

Hosted by Park Gyeong Rim and Kim Min Young (Director of International Originals for Netflix Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand), the event began as they introduced Kingdom's screenwriter Kim Eun Hee and Extracurricular producer Yoon Shin Ae, who encouraged viewers to support Korean content.

Below is a list of the upcoming titles this 2021:

Love Alarm 2
Starring: Kim So Hyun, Song Kang, and Jung Ga Ram

Longing for resounding proof of her feelings, Jojo sets out to uninstall the shield and make the app ring for her one true love.

Move to Heaven
Starring: Lee Je HoonTang Jun Sang, and Hong Seung Hee

It is a story of Geu Roo who has Asperger’s syndrome and his uncle Sang Goo. The two meet through the death of Geu Roo’s father and end up running a trauma cleaning business together. Working as trauma cleaners, both Geu Roo and Sang Goo uncover various stories of the deceased while experiencing different emotions and sentiments toward life, death and family.

D.P. (Deserter Pursuit)  
Starring: Jung Hae InKoo Kyo HwanSon Seok Koo, and Kim Sung Kyun 

Based on popular webtoon of the same name, the series will tell the story of a soldier who is tasked with finding and catching military deserters.

My Name
Starring: Han So Hee, Ahn Bo Hyun, and Park Hee Soon 

A woman joins an organized crime ring and infiltrates the police as an undercover agent in order to find out the truth about her father’s death.

All of Us Are Dead
Starring: Yoon Chan YoungPark Ji Hoo,  Jo Yi HyunPark Solomon, and Yoo In Soo

A group of high school students are faced with an extreme crisis situation when they become trapped in their school, while a zombie virus spreads like a wildfire.

So Not Worth It
Starring: Park Se Wan, Shin Hyun Seung, Choi Young Jae, Minnie, and Han Hyun Min

A sitcom about love, friendship and youth among a multinational group of students who live together at a university dorm in Seoul.

Kingdom: Warrior of Ashin
Starring: Jun Ji Hyun, and Park Byung Eun

A side story from Kingdom Season 2, a backstory about the mysterious character Lee Chang's group encountered on their journey north to discover the origins of the infected.  


Starring: Yoo Ah InKim Hyun JooPark Jung Min, and Won Jin Ah

Based on webtoon of the same name, the series will be about humans who face a supernatural phenomenon that is neither a miracle nor a curse. To live through this unrealistic reality, these humans create hell.

Squid Game
Starring: Lee Jung JaePark Hae Soo, Heo Sung Tae, and Wi Ha Joon

People become players of a mysterious survival game that has a whopping 45.6 billion won (approx. US$ 41 million) prize at stake.

The Silent Sea
Starring: Gong Yoo, Bae Doo Na, and Lee Joon

Set in the future, when the planet suffers from a lack of water and food caused by desertification. Elite scientists set off for the moon to retrieve some unknown samples from an abandoned research station.

Lee Soo Geun's Sense Coach
Starring: Lee Soo Geun

A stand-up comedy series with Lee Soo Geun.

Baek's Spirit
Starring: Baek Jong Won

A reality series introducing Korean alcohol and food culture by Culinary researcher Baek Jong Won. 

Starring: TBA

Depicts the breathtaking chase of the agent 'Carter', who was assigned to a mysterious operation at the Korean peninsula where a virus was spreading.

Moral Sense
Starring: Lee Jun Young, and Lee Joo Young 

Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series will tell the unique romance between two co-workers.
