Nam Da Reum and Kim Sae Ron will be working together for a Kakao TV drama!
On May 6th, Kakao TV confirmed that Nam Da Reum and Kim Sae Ron will be the main leads for the upcoming fantasy drama titled "Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim.” The script will be penned by the writer of "Little Forest.”
"Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim" will revolve around the high school students Ga Doo Shim and Na Woo Soo who become embroiled in a mysterious chain of events. The story will unfold as Ga Doo Shim transfers to a haunted high school wherein the student who achieves the lowest rank in class is cursed to commit suicide.
The upcoming drama is set to premiere this July with 12 episodes. Each episode will consist of about 20 minutes and they will start filming this May.
Many are already anticipating the combination of these two previous child actors with solid acting skills and visuals.
Kim Sae Ron will be playing the role of Ga Doo Shim. She's an 18-year-old high school student who is born to be a female shaman (mudang) to fight evil spirits. But instead of pursuing her fate, she just wants to live a normal life.
"Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim" will be Kim Sae Ron's follow-up project after starring in the 2019's drama "Leverage.” She also received an offer to become the female lead for "School 2021" alongside Kim Yo Han, but she ended up declining the role.
Nam Da Reum will play as Na Woo Soo. He's the typical "outstanding person in every field" who is warm spirited, has excellent grades, and comes from a rich family. He's also a high school student who is not used to life's difficulties.
Aside from starring in "Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim,” Nam Da Reum will also be part of the upcoming drama "The Sound of Magic" and he will also make a special appearance on the soon to air drama "Doom at Your Service.”
