The Korean actor Moon Ji Yoon passed away earlier today [ March 18th ] at 8:56 PM KST due to acute septicemia / blood poisoning to a severe infection. He was 36 years old.

The actor's agency, Family ENT confirmed the news stating that he was admitted to a hospital on March 16th with a high fever and sore throat. His symptoms turned for the worse which led to sepsis, causing him to lose consciousness.

Along with the heartbreaking news, Moon Ji Yoon's agency also stated;

The bereaved family expressed their concerns over the current Corona Virus (COVID-19) outbreak and the safety of the mourners, so they are politely refusing any fans who want to visit his funeral.

Moon Ji Yoon was born in February 18th, 1984. The actor has been active in the industry since his acting debut in the 2002 drama "Romance." He gained popularity over the years as he took supporting roles in "Delightful Girl, Choon Hyang", "Iljimae", "Queen Seon Duk", "Big", "Cheese in the Trap", and "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo".
