Kim Sang Kyung and Oh Na Ra are confirmed to be the main leads for upcoming SBS drama!
The upcoming drama "Racket Boys" will be directed by Jo Young Kwang who's known for "Defendant". "Hyde, Jekyll, Me", and "49 Days". The script will be written by Jung Bo Hoon who also worked on the hit tvN drama "Prison Playbook".
"Racket Boys" will be the first ever badminton drama in Korea. It will depict the story of a middle school badminton club who will challenge themselves in the youth championships. It will showcase the growth of 16 boys and girls as they pursue their dreams to become the best badminton players.
Kim Sang Kyung will play the role of Yoon Hyun Jong, a friendly badminton coach who was once part of the national team player. Oh Na Ra on the other hand will play the role of Ra Young Ja, a living legend in the badminton world and the current coach of the nation's No. 1 badminton player at Haenam Jeil Girls' Middle School.
"Racket Boys" will be the comeback drama of actor Kim Sang Kyung since 2019. He last starred in the tvN drama "Miss Lee" together with Girls Day Lee Hye Ri. He will also be part of the upcoming movie "Bacteria" with Lee Sun Bin, and Yoon Gyung Ho.
Meanwhile, Oh Na Ra will be very busy this year. Aside from "Racket Boys", she's also confirmed to return to variety show "Six Sense 2". The actress will also appear in upcoming movies such as "Not The lips" and "Apgujeong Report".
"Racket Boys" is scheduled to air in the first half of 2021.
