Jang Dong Yoon will reportedly lead the upcoming movie titled "Longdi"
Media outlets shared on May 26th, that Jang Dong Yoon has picked a new project after his drama "Joseon Exorcist" controversy. It was reported that Jang Dong Yoon will be the main lead for the upcoming movie "Longdi" directed by Lim Jae Wan. According to reports, the production of "Longdi" has started filming together with Jang Dong Yoon.
Jang Dong Yoon's agency DongYi Company gave their statement about the reports. They stated that they don't have a definite answer about his casting yet. The production company of the film was also asked if they have started filming and they have declined to comment.
If the reports were true, "Longdi" will be Jang Dong Yoon's return to filming after two months since the drama controversy.
Upcoming movie "Longdi" will narrate the story of a couple of the same age who lives in Seoul and Geoje Island respectively. The movie will showcase the detailed portrayal of how men and women deal with long distance relationships (also called as "Longdi"). They will show the minor conflicts and misunderstandings and how they will also overcome it, Jang Dong Yoon will play the role of the character named Doha.
Jang Dong Yoon has a lot of reported drama and movie projects. For dramas, he is set to appear in KBS drama "Oasis" by director Yoon Sung Shik and the fantasy romance SBS drama "The Fairy and the Bald Idol."
Jang Dong Yoon was part of the cast of the controversial 2021 drama "Joseon Exorcist" with Kam Woo Sung, Park Sung Hoon, Kim Dong Jun, and many more. It only aired for two episodes because the public was not comfortable with history distortion in the drama. The drama was eventually cancelled and all the casts shared their apologies for the issue. Since then, Jang Dong Yoon has been very quiet and careful of his actions.
