The story begins again when Khao (Angkul Jeennukul) decides not to have sex for 30 days according to a fortune teller's advice but Nut, his coworker, asks to stay with him for a while. Sometimes Nut sleeps in his underwear, driving Khao out of control, but the more he tries to control, the worse he falls for Nut. In a restaurant where Khao and Nut work, there are 2 trans women, Tangkwa and Bua, having a crush on Khao at the same time, so they fight with each other just to win Khao. They are willing to risk losing their long friendship for a waiter they just meet. One day, Hanoi, a gay brother, comes to visit his sister, who is the restaurant owner. Hanoi tells his sister that he wants to become a water ballet dancer, but he can’t swim, so Game, a restaurant’s helper, is assigned to help train swimming, and that leads Hanoi to feel something different in his heart. They fall in love, and they fight for the love they believe belongs to everyone equally. Edit Translation
Where to Watch Love Next Door 2
Cast & Credits
Truly AwfulThis is not just bad, it's offensive. About 75% of the story is Trans & queer shaming, with anyone not masculine depicted as awful, predatory, ridiculous, or otherwise pathetic and bad. There is no romance between the main couple - they're barely in it, and they have obligatory sex at the end that only one of them appears to be into - there is zero chemistry.
There is no reason for anyone to watch this - even though Jennie is in it. Just awful and regressive in every way. Seriously, I feel like someone needs to be charged with a crime it's so bad. I gave it a 3 for Jennie and several of the actors who did their best.
It really deserves a negative 10, but I feel bad for the poor cast.
much better the the first...glad i didn't let the first movie put me off and read comments to decide for or against - this was way better - even funny (can't writer funnier, cause that wasn't funny). also guess this is a "sequel" just cause we've got Khao from the first movie - which considering it had nothing to do with the first movie (well other then the beginning) it could "stand all on its own" and u really don't need to watch the first one, in-order to "get" this.
the character's were fun as individual's - the 2 trans women, Tangkwa and Bua were not just side character that showed up when needed, they had their own thing going on. even Hanoi who was a major pain in the butt, and i wanted to punch him or his sister for turning him into such a spoilt brat, was endearing as u watched the story unfold.
this was a fun movie - wont say perfect or even a rewatch - Nut was/is freakin gorgeous just to look at - but his whole side story was WTF sideline - like he didn't take money from Khao just to turn around a sell himself to that weirdo that looked like a freakin caricature, of a rich overly cosmetically, enhanced gay sugar daddy? that crazy dude that only demanded his "love" in return for the money and of course - turned him into some kind of prisoner in that high-end flat of his. then just cause he wants to know who Nut contacted, Nut had "enough" cause that's invasion of privacy - and i'm like, what privacy?? u sold urself with no terms or contract, u pretty much his sex-slave - and then... that crazy dude pulls a gun, cause Nut is trying to leave and - nothing happens - cause he back at the café looking for work and also back with Khao, just in time for the 30 day celibacy period to end - the end - confused? yeah - but all in all this is way better then the first, so i'm fine - even with this weird ending...
